Founded and grew the studio to be a highly skilled resource for AAA game development studios working with Unreal Engine... clients included Boss Key Productions (Lawbreakers), Funcom (Conan: Exiles), Rare Game Studios (Sea of Thieves), Dambuster Studios (unannounced title) and more. In 2020, the studio became part of Keywords Studios.

Headed up Epic Games UK (the new name for Pitbull Studio).

Formed the company, won some great contracts and grew the company from 4 people to nearly 50 before Epic Games' acquisition in 2014.

Working with Geomerics, we created the Unreal Engine 3 integration of Enlighten, an amazing realtime radiosity solution. Pitbull Syndicate became Midway Newcastle in 2005. Here I specialised in optimisation of code and memory for both the final games and for the develooment tools, pioneering such as the runtime memory checking tool - able to track memory leakage and performance over vast (24 hours+) runs of our games and tools. Did lots of work to make sure that Wheelman could run at full steam on Xbox 360, streaming from DVD while driving through the world (Barcelona) at 200mph - in an engine that was built more for Gears of War style games (big, slow, hulking characters with very little level streaming or dynamic physics).

Specialising in optimisation techniques and leading the PC and Xbox versions of titles. Lead teams of up to 15 people.

Short-lived branch of Scavenger, developing 3D graphics technology for use in PC and console gaming titles.

Worked on the original Destruction Derby, created by a team of only 5 people. Lead PC Programmer, developing the 3D engine for the game, as well as the AI system, scoring, landscape tools and much more.
