My team and I develop content based upon business strategies and determine the appropriate channel for messaging. I work closely with key stakeholders and executives to ensure brand alignment internally and externally in the marketplace by projecting on-brand messaging through all available channels. I serve as a strategic communications consultant to leaders to create, implement, innovate and oversee communications strategies, channel management, presentations and other communication projects.

Key Accomplishments • Project-managed and communicated the global implementation of Workplace by Facebook as the new, exclusive internal communications platform for nearly 10K associates by partnering with and supporting IT, HR, Operations and Regional Marketing• Successfully shifted global internal communications for management from email distribution, SharePoint and a quarterly digital newsletter magazine to Workplace for a consistent global voice and tone and the ability for two-way communication• Effectively rolled out new brand collateral and messaging to internal and external stakeholders (after merger with Group Acticall)

As the sole Communicator at the company, and within the HR department, I developed, implemented, standardized and maintained all corporate communication channels for the company including external websites, internal SharePoint sites, printed monthly newsletter, crisis communications and public relations messaging. Additionally, I created presentations, materials and instructional manuals to support the organization’s training efforts and conducted orientation classes for all corporate new hires.Key Accomplishments:• Successfully communicated and supported the change management of a major acquisition (doubled the size of the company). • Standardized, maintained all external-facing communication channels including website and social media.

As the Communications Coordinator for Dollar General, a Fortune 200 company, I supported both internal and external communications as well as the company’s Community Initiatives department, working with the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. I worked closely with the C-Suite to prepare presentations and talking points for town hall meetings and media events. I managed the grand opening press releases (1,000+ press releases per year), the company’s external online newsroom and wrote, edited and distributed press releases and media advisories. Internally, I completed research, interviews and writing for monthly articles published in Dollar General’s employee newsletter, DG Story, which was printed and distributed to more than 95,000 employees monthly. I managed the employee intranet by developing content and updating daily through content management software. Key Accomplishments:• Assisted in employee communication of Dollar General’s IPO in 2009• Launched brand-new employee intranet to slowly replace the printed newsletter

Managed daily press clippings, supported newsroom website, wrote and edited press releases, acted as a liaison between talent and media for nationally televised programs in preparation for events and on the red carpet and maintained relationships with local and national radio, television and print media.Key Accomplishments:• Worked numerous live events, garnered media coverage for televised events
