I graduated in 2008 from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, with a degree in Communication and Cultural Studies. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Editing and Publishing Studies (2011) from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy (2016, Grant awarded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation) from Goldsmiths, University of London. In 2008, I started working as a PR in the cross-arts centre Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon. In 2009, I moved to the council managed Maria Matos Teatro Municipal to join in the new team under the artistic direction of Belgian Mark Deputter. From 2009 to 2018, I was part of the Communication and Marketing Department, working both on strategical and operational levels, focusing primarily in PR for music, youth and society programmes, print, digital and social media strategies, social media, and audience development. Over the years, we have worked with commitment and dedication to raise the theatre's profile and engage new audiences in our multidisciplinar programmes. We strongly believed in working in partnership with other organisations to produce bold and inventive new ways of communicating. In 2015, Teatro Maria Matos was awarded a number of creativity awards for a campaign promoting our subscription card, Maria & Luiz, a shared project between Maria Matos Teatro Municipal and our twin municipal theatre, São Luiz Teatro Municipal. For the past years, I have also taught in a number of workshops and seminars targeted to professionals, and I was a guest lecturer for the Arts Marketing module of the Theatre Production undergraduate course in Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema.I am currently the Director of Communications at Teatro do Bairro Alto.
