• Responsible for L1 and L2 Support for the entire Bank Midrange Process for servers like AS400, Unix, ACSLS, VERITAS NetBackup, Tandems and base24, Linux and Database like SQL and Oracle• Checking Job Scheduled entries & verifying status of jobs and Monitoring robot jobs. • Daily, Weekly & Monthly Backup’s and checking the logs, daily system Health Check Status in AS-400 Server• Checking the status of the communication lines, tape drives, subsystem, jobs and also monitors the status of the objects and make sure they end with healthy status code.• Checking the drive status from the ACSLS and NetBackup, also make sure there is no struck tape into it.• Checking the backup jobs in VERITAS NetBackup and make sure they complete with the healthy status code, if they fail engaging the different Bank support team on the Bridge Line to resolve the issues.• Monitoring the System for Alerts for Batches and Systems and escalating as per the DOC• Backup, Restoration & PTF installation on AS/400 Servers• Coordinates and works with various vendors like IBM, STK, EMC, HP and Hitachi and on hardware/software maintenance or problems.• Providing secured system environment through various auditing tools.• Escalating Higher Severity Incidents to System operations which Includes opening Bridge Calls and Engaging Support teams for assistance using pager and Communicator • Escalating Higher Severity Incident to System operations to Minimize Failed Customer Interactions (FCIs).• SLA based Service Delivery & maintaining Quality of Technical Service.• Using the Peregrine tools for locking the problem log ticket & for change management. • Assists in the maintenance of policies and procedures used and followed by the Technical Services Manager and different departments.• Participating in and work on all aspects of the technical design & specification phase of projects.
