GlasPort Bio is a biotechnology company based in Galway, Ireland. We develop technologies to aid in the circular bioeconomy allowing stakeholders derive maximal value from various waste streams as part of a transition to a low-carbon economy. Our lead product in development is ManureMate - an additive to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from animal wastes - enhancing its value as fertiliser and a feedstock for anaerobic digestion.

Westway Health is a Galway-based biopharma company developing novel non-antibiotic antimicrobial technologies, with applications in Animal Health, Human Health and Environmental Sterilisation. Our lead product in development is PanaMast(TM) LC - a novel non-antibiotic treatment for bovine mastitis with potential zero withdrawal.

Responsible for Identifying, Protecting and Managing IP portfolio around a range of NUIG technologies including diagnostics, medical devices, oncology, regenerative medicine, biomaterials, bio-energy; Responsible for the commercialisation of these technologies; License negotiation; Spin-out company formation; Post-deal alliance management.

Worked as lead scientist on two externally-funded projects: FunGenES (FP6) and StemHTS (DTI). Developed novel neural differentiation medium for ES cells (RHB-A).

Employed as a Marie Curie Host industry Fellow. Post-doctoral scientist in the Gene Discovery department, investigating genes implicated in autoimmunity.
