Hi!My name is Ruan and I'm currently employed as the Lead Buyer at Doehler South Africa.Doehler is a global producer, marketer and provider of technology-based natural ingredients, ingredient systems and integrated solutions for the food and beverage industry.Last year I've completed my Honours in Quantitative Management. For my final project I investigated alternative inventory management systems at the Stellenbosch Provincial Hospital. Based on the principles of Lean Management and the Theory of Constraints, the system was able to forecast demand and accurately track the consumption of the most important/expensive materials. Not only did this system have the ability to decrease procurement costs but it could also ensure higher quality service to patients.
