As a volunteer crisis counselor with Crisis Text Line, I provide 24/7 text-based mental health support and crisis intervention. I employ a Safety Assessment Model (SAM) assessing texters' safety and actively listening to their crises. I follow the texters’ lead, exploring their situations to identify risk factors and protective buffers.

Inspired by my grandmother's battle with Alzheimer's, I recognized the crucial need for education about the disease among families, loved ones, and physicians. My role involves attending training webinars, visiting doctors' offices to inform them about available resources for their patients, and tabling at community events to raise awareness. I organized information tables at my college and gave presentations to pre-health clubs to educate my peers and future healthcare professionals.

My role encompassed designing and synthesizing analogs of a screen dual inhibitor target that included various nucleoside bases, amino acids, and aminopyrimidine structures to target co-receptors. I focused on researching, conducting, and optimizing organic synthesis procedures and successfully proposed a synthetic method for our target compound and intermediates.

At Chitwan Medical College & Hospital I worked closely with doctors and nurses in cardiology, surgery, and the emergency department, gaining insight into Nepal’s common diseases, diagnoses, and treatments. I also engaged in community outreach, teaching school children about personal hygiene. I took Nepalese language classes to learn the language and communicate with others. Collaborating with my research group, we created a comprehensive database containing over 100 resources that highlight this convergence.
