As the Manager of Emergency Services, Ruben oversees all track operations for the Emergency Services and Safety Marshall Teams at Homestead Miami Speedway. In addition to managing daily operations within the Emergency Services division, he has returned to the role of Track Services Training Coordinator for the speedway. Ruben's association with Homestead Miami Speedway began in 2001 and continued until 2017, during which he advanced from an on-track Firefighter to the position of Emergency Services Chief of Operations. He left in 2017 to concentrate on the growth and eventual sale of RescueAED, LLC. Although he always imagined returning "home," he never anticipated that it would actually happen. Leading the team at HMS presented an opportunity he could not pass up, and he expresses profound gratitude for the chance to return to a place he holds in such high regard.

Ruben is the Public Safety Agency Programs Director. He joined the ER Info team to coordinate and manage the rollout of the ER Info system. Working with Government, Educational and Healthcare facilities to ensure the integration is fully operational is the primary focus.

As the Interim Fire Chief I managed the day to day operations of the track’s Fire and Safety Team. I was also the coordinator of all Fire and Life Safety operations for NASCAR’s 2014 Ford Championship Weekend. As the Coordinator I was responsible for establishing the necessary assets needed to provide appropriate Fire and Rescue protection for our visitors and guests, administration of hundreds of safety workers, and logistics and Communications for the entire Safety and Track Services Teams.

As the Training Coord. for the Track Services Team at Homestead Miami Speedway I over see and create classes and curriculum for our members. Our classes cover Fire, EMS, Recovery, Clean up, & Restoration both classroom and hands on. I am also responsible for Logistics which handles personal and mobile equipment as well as Team Communications at race time.

As the Director of Track Services and Safety for the Red Bull Global Rallycross Series I am responsible for the coordination and coverage of Fire, EMS, Recovery and Safety at all GRC events. In addition to local safety workers Global Rallycross has a Traveling Team with various Track Services experience.
