After having been a Captain and Sommelier at the French Laundry for 7 years I was ready to strike out on my own. I saved for a year and decided to travel as far as I could and for as long as my savings would last. I built a loft in my house and rented out all the rooms to help cover the mortgage. For 7 months, I explored the world of wine. I hiked mountains, drove beneath cliffs, and walked through vineyards overlooking the Alps. I did this all to share my discoveries with wine lovers and enthusiasts, so that they can access these amazing wines.
