I am a first year student at Griffith University studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy aspiring to pursue a career in Medicine/Dentistry. My interest has stemmed from working in the community as a volunteer lifeguard and from competing at an international level in swimming, where I have learnt key values such as accountability, diligence and leadership. Being a well-rounded student gave the opportunity to seek a leadership position. In 2020-2021, I had the honour to be house captain at Miami State High School. With this opportunity I was fortunate to attend leadership camps to broaden my knowledge on leadership and establish other key values/skills to help run sporting events and to help pursue my future endeavours, making sure to be inclusive, approachable and professional to the community and future work colleagues.I am currently employed as a swimming instructor at Paradise swim. Where I provide a safe, fun and educational environment in which students progressively learn to swim. Therefore, working in a team environment has being extremely rewarding. I have also gained the confidence to communicate with parents, swimmers and colleagues.
