I am a web developer for the full-stack web infrastructure that is used to remotely monitor three experimental water treatment facilities in the Salinas Valley of Central California. This project aims to utilize web technologies to assist in the oversight of water treatment systems for underserved rural communities. I help maintain a NodeJS web API to handle data upload from multiple treatment systems. This server program ties into a MongoDB instance, where millions of data points are stored for current and future analysis. The data is then fed into an AngularJS front-end web application, designed to include a dashboard containing live and historical sensor information. I have helped improve the performance and reliability of the site by removing the LABView-based logging system and replacing it with direct calculations in the source code and in the near future I plan to refactor the entire website from AngularJS to ReactJS in order to further improve performance and rendering.
