Led the planning department at the RMW high voltage transformers site as part of the Grid Solutions business.Responsibilities included:- Leading a team of salaried production planners to achieve optimal schedule accuracy and feasibility while promoting personal growth and career opportunities. - Leading all master planning activities for both major business product lines at the site. - Validating the health of the production line by comparing planned output versus actual output with adherence to the master plan. - Optimizing WIP and production output by analyzing bottlenecks along with product mix to create a robust master schedule capable of achieving the key target milestones. - Scheduling and controlling any reworked projects.- Managing Load vs Capacity for all product lines at the site in order to optimize output and stabilize lead times for our customers. - Leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) for the site.- Connecting monthly production plan to business sales by creating a sales plan capable of achieving the monthly sales target while meeting customer delivery requirements.- Primary liaison between supply chain, production, project management, and the commercial team to ensure the site is meeting customer expectations.- Evaluating opportunities for continuous improvement whether by eliminating non-value added activities, creating macros to automate repetitive tasks, or fundamentally changing current processes to take on more of a lean approach.

March 2017 - March 2018: Generator Field Wind Operations Leader- Led a team of 14 employees through a record outage projects while maintaining an average 30% cost-out for the spring and fall outage seasons. - Reduced build-time man hours for new-make generator fields by 21% across all frames. - Reduced idle time to 3.2% by leveraging flexible work arrangements across unionized workforce. - Served as a team leader for a corporate-wide sourcing initiative resulting in savings of $3.2MM/year. March 2018 - November 2018: Gas Turbine Rotor Forgings Supply Chain Leader- Drove strategic negotiations on $23MM of open orders to align supplier delivery dates with plant need dates.- Created a safety stock crib for repair parts having high frequency of use, long lead times, and low value mitigating an average impact to production of 4 weeks for a majority of rotor repair projects. - Simplified inconel forging procurement process resulting in an estimated cost-out of $1.3MM/year. - Led a major lean project within assembly area resulting in reduced WIP at the line by 81%, a mechanism to identify part shortages before they impact the line, and a process to deliver parts to the line only as needed. November 2018 - April 2019: High Voltage Transformers Lean Leader- Created a 2-bin supermarket for internally fabricated parts decreasing the distance traveled by production operators by 70% as well as the number of hard stops by 97%.- Created a combined work space and supermarket for shared assembly resources resulting in a 50% reduction of WIP on the floor. - Obtained GE's Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.- Set up a pull system on fabricated seal plates increasing availability to within 95% and reducing production assembly operator downtime by 36%.
