•Conduct regular inspections of the Air Operations Area (airfield runways, taxiways, lighting and security) as may be necessary to ensure compliance with FAR 139.•Maintain Daily Airfield Safety Inspection Record (DASIR) of inspection efforts.•Report observed discrepancies to appropriate parties; remove small debris and follow up to ensure corrective action has been taken.•Close and open portion of airfield as necessary to ensure a safe and efficient airfield operation; and authorizes the issuance of NOTAM’s and aeronautical information.•Document reportable incidents on assigned shift; compile data, inspection records, and other information into routine and special reports for management review.•Respond to real or potential emergencies, assist the on-the-scene commander as directed and oversee emergency responder activities on all AOA incidents to ensure safe airfield operations.•Review changes to regulations, procedures and instructions from publications, reports and memoranda; follows prescribed procedures.

The Stimulant Addiction Research Program at Baylor College of Medicine runs clinical trials which investigate FDA-approved medications for novel purposes related to treating cocaine and methamphetamine dependence. I assisted the Principal Investigators and Research Coordinators with such tasks such as assessment of vitals, EKGs, and the distribution of Psychiatric questionnaires as well as watched over the research participants overnight and on weekends when the day staff was not on premises.
