Provides strategic and technical support to all APQP and mass production activities, including managing CoQ to align with business objectives.

Oversees all Quality aspects of the systems, products, and processes for a well-established manufacturing and engineering firm. This business focuses on fabricating components for OEMs and is noted for the quality of its products and its customer sensitivity, as well as implementing methods for improving the quality of their products, along with ensuring documentation. Owner of Company Corporate Systems, Maps and Procedures and their administration. Manage Corrective Action and Problem Solving activities to ensure close loops, PPM and COPQ analysis and reports. Manage Process and Continual Improvement, Change Management, and Lean Manufacturing activities. Participated in VSM and Makigami (Process Mapping) events. Serve as a liaison between Quality Engineers and customers to help settle unresolved issues. Oversee Quality Department activities. Manage new product launch activities from APQP through release for production. Oversee group of Process, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineers. Manage Internal and External Change activities. Lead Continuous Improvement Teams in areas such as PPM reduction, COQ reduction, Scrap and Downtime reduction, etc.

Responsible for all quality functions for new program launches (design reviews, QFD (Quality Function Deployment), PPAP submissions, control plans and PFMEA creation, fixture and computer based gage design, procurement and programming, product capability studies, and gage studies). Efficiently applied Lean manufacturing tools such as JIT, PDSA, PDCA, SMED, TPM, SUR CFM, 5S, elimination of Muda, etc. Responsible for evaluating potential new secondary operations vendors and component suppliers. Worked on a daily, weekly, quarterly and semi annual basis with the customer's quality and engineering function, updating statistical information from the manufacturing floor concerning die cast production, tooling, machining, and assembly processes.

Quality Planning and Systems Act as a key change agent for developing quality systems, auditing existing systems, and executing improvement of those systems both at corporate and plant levels. Develop systems for QFD (Quality Function Deployment), Quality Planning, and ensure use and execution. Lead Quality and Change initiatives across al functional areas and with vendors/partners. Champion the Quality at the Source (Q@S) initiative. Responsible for the Total Training Plan Process in relation to Q@S. Coordinate activities and change teams to reduce and prevent COPQ (Costs of Poor Quality). Champion and lead change and team development processes and application of team roles. Responsible for the Technical Training of all leaders, engineers, and quality services associates to process and continuous improvement tools.

Built and led a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians to develop / apply effective quality methods in Production and Metrology areas. Continuous training and process improvement set as priority in the use of Quality tools such as Sampling, Acceptance Criteria, Capability/Reliability, Statistics, Measurement System Analysis, etc. Improved Customer relationship through rapid Corrective Action / Problem Solving methods, and timely responsiveness, therefore drastically reducing PPM. Led CAR and PSDM teams using Root Cause Analysis Methods to achieve Problem Solving and Problem Elimination. Applied Data Analysis for Process Improvement and to Reduce Manufacturing Process Variation with the use of Statistical and Lean Manufacturing Techniques. Constantly involved in Continual Improvement and Cost Saving Projects. Performed numerous Internal Process and Product Quality Audits. Developed / submitted complete customer PPAP for new or transferred accounts.

Set-up and monitored systems for pinpointing field failures of home/industrial water filters. Evaluated causes and implemented solutions. Developed research method to evaluate effectiveness of the Regal "premier" water filtration system: the triple filter reverse osmosis unit. Interfaced between Research & Development and Manufacturing Engineering to advise on compatibility of new components.
