About Rubén Ortiz Vázquez

Since I was a kid, I have strived to create a positive impact and to be able to leave a mark on those that surround me. To achieve this, I have invested my personal and professional life in trying to capacitate myself to lead and inspire others and help them find their purpose and reach their full potential. I have done this because I care about people, but most importantly, because it fulfills my passion and connects me with my inner purpose: to work with and for people and inspire/help them in the process. I am a professional with a goal-oriented and result-driven mentality and a human-centered approach that aims to gain others' trust and inspire them. On a professional ground, I have had the opportunity to lead corporate affairs, pricing, access, sales, distribution, and marketing teams and departments for multinational brands in sectors such as pharma, health, automobile, manufacturing, and the financial industry. Under these organizations, I have been able to execute brand launch strategies that position products, increase market share, and better connect with customer needs. As a sales professional, I have come to understand the power of insights, market segmentation, targeting, and fostering strategic relationships that help lead teams and win others' trust. Currently, I work at Eli Lilly Company where, for the past 11 years, I have contributed to the organization by helping it generate new business leads, grow its product lines, increase its market share and sales productivity, and open new business opportunities through the implementation of strategies centered on customers and society needs. As a Pricing, Reimbursement, Access, and Corporate Affairs Director, I work towards raising awareness about the importance of healthcare and enabling conditions that enhance the health and wellness of citizens. I also manage relations with different stakeholders to raise awareness about the importance of healthcare, promote innovative pharmaceutical products and therapies, and facilitate access to them. Nowadays, I believe more than ever that my purpose is to create connections and inspire others.
