Current• Direct and manage the activities of all Prototype functions and layouts;• Develop new prototypical store and individual department layouts and review with Senior Management and Sales Staff for the implementation by the Store Development Team into new stores, remodels and expansions;• Manage the development of the layouts of the 320’, 288’, 285’ and 217’ prototype on a monthly basis and communicate the change(s) to the Senior Management and the Store Development Team;• Assist the… Show more • Direct and manage the activities of all Prototype functions and layouts;• Develop new prototypical store and individual department layouts and review with Senior Management and Sales Staff for the implementation by the Store Development Team into new stores, remodels and expansions;• Manage the development of the layouts of the 320’, 288’, 285’ and 217’ prototype on a monthly basis and communicate the change(s) to the Senior Management and the Store Development Team;• Assist the V.P. of Design & Engineering in presenting proposed fixture plans for new stores, remodels, expansions and acquisitions, at the Plan Review Meeting (Outstanding Issues) held once a month for review and approval all executives;• Manage and develop members of the Prototype Design Team by assigning priorities, providing scope of work, setting deadlines for project completion, monitoring progress and ensuring timely turnaround of all documents;• Prepare performance appraisals for each direct report to determine salary increases;• Develop a period end report reflecting the status of all prototypical changes on a monthly basis;• Develop plans to address current prototypical layout issues, implementation of prototype changes in stores under construction and coordinate their release with the Manager of Architectural Engineering;• Direct and manage the activities of all Special Project layouts; manage and assist the activities of the Store Development Department and In-House Engineers including;• Team building and associate training and development, direct the implementation of the Interior Design Department (Décor) standards into all merchandising plans;• Meet with consultants to ensure store layouts are in compliance with current ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and building code standards;• Implement value engineering in order to reduce costs and meet LEED specifications and review with the V.P. of Design & Engineering and outside Consultants.
