For me Agile is a philosophy of work. It provides a new way of work more powerful and less hard. It's very important to understand that the methodology is not the goal of a product or project but is a great tool to make the goals real.The business is changing so fast and the only way of success is to use Agile. No other methodology provides you so much motivation around the work.But for me Agile not only apply to Software development. Agile can be successful in others parts of life. Agile works because it is based on Values and principles and that gives you a very clear guide to follow the correct way of doing things.
