Ruben Ron is a senior engineer specialized in solar technologies. He has more than ten years of experience in the solar industry, including photovoltaics and solar thermal power technologies.Rubén has been working for DNV GL for more than five years where he could apply the knowledge and expertise gathered during the time he spent at Iberdrola Engineering and Construction. He has gained experience in technical consultancy services and among his most relevant competences are project management, technical due diligences, contract negotiation support, design review, basic engineering, energy production assessments, project construction monitoring, plant inspections and training. Currently he is leading the solar unit in DNV GL Iberia as Head of Section. He is responsible for the solar team coordination, providing technical assistance to a wide range of Customers involving independent engineering and owners engineering services.Rubén has also led the development of internal tools and procedures. It is important to highlight the development of energy simulation tools for solar thermal power technologies, which allowed the team offer new services in the solar sector and support Customers to develop their own simulation tools. Working more than five years at Iberdrola Engineering and Construction Rubén was involved in the different project phases of power plants, from early stages of project development to the operation phase. He gained experience in the areas of development, engineering, construction, commissioning and operation and maintenance for solar projects.
