I led an extensive operational transformation readjusting processes and procedures to the new Recovery Programme of the V&A. I implemented a new managerial structure through 3 national lockdowns and consecutive re-mobilisations. I line managed 30+ staff members working from home whilst navigating redundancy consultations affecting all members of the organisation. I designed a sustainability plan for the department. Led regular tours of our collection engaging with the provision of a gender/sexuality-themed public programme that lies at the core of the V&A’s commitment with LGBTQ audiences. As part of the LGBTQ Working Group at the museum I also co-produced events and research about interpretation, terminology, inclusion and diversity. I looked at the ways in which visitors themselves interpret and make sense of museum objects on the basis of their own identities and lived experience.
