Born in 1984, in Zwolle, I moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas, at 17 as an 'Exchange Student'. My talent as a pianist earned me a scholarship at Arkansas State University. After my freshman year, I relocated to Nashville to join a successful band, embarking on a thrilling four-year journey of tours, album releases, and life on the road.Post-touring life led me back to the Netherlands in 2007, nearly broke but undeterred. I quickly advanced as a manager in various companies, backed by an expertise in process optimization, LEAN methodologies, and people management. My authentic management style, combined with a focus on personal development, has consistently driven success in diverse team settings. In 2018, together with Maurits Tiethoff, I co-founded Dobbi, a digital dry cleaning and laundry service. Dobbi has since become a top-5 disruptor in the Netherlands, now boasting 100% national coverage, over 1,000 physical service points, and awards including the most innovative and best dry cleaner in the nation.Currently, I blend my entrepreneurship with speaking and coaching, delivering keynotes and workshops across the Netherlands. I mentor at Startupbootcamp and Rockstart, focusing on cultivating leadership, fostering a successful mindset, and personal growth. My sessions are characterized by enthusiasm and compelling narratives of my personal and professional journey, offering practical strategies for focus and balance in fast-paced environments and emphasizing the importance of deep self-awareness for achieving success and happiness in all life aspects.
