Builder, researcher and investor at Qapital, an independent investment and research firm that values long-term growth and value creation. We source and analyze investment opportunities using a sector-agnostic approach and provide advisory services for companies aiming to improve their processes and organization. Drawn from my research on investment behavior and venture growth, I publish information on the dynamics between investors and entrepreneurs. Before Qapital I worked for 12 years in the equipment rental industry for the largest European privately owned rental company (till 2010) as manager operations (rental & transport division). After finishing my BSc University of Applied Sciences I started a Master in Business Administration (MScBA) at the RSM Erasmus University (Rotterdam School of Management). My major was Strategic Management combined with minors Advanced Marketing Strategies and New Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship. This Master was concluded by academic research on the impact of growth capital on the organisational structures within startups, or in short 'from startup to scaleup'.After the MSc. I started the MSc Plus Program (RSM Erasmus University) in Finance. This program has a focus on Value Based Management, Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity & Leveraged Buyouts.In 2018 I further expanded my knowledge by starting a postgraduate education at Said Business School, University of Oxford. This is a 13 month Financial Strategy education based on the Oxford Executive MBA focusing on Private Equity, Venture Capital and Growth Strategies and concluded with a research on High Frequency Trading in illiquid markets. Currently working on PhD research at the VU Amsterdam on behavioral finance in a venture capital context and an Executive Master on M&A and Valuation at the University of Groningen.In the next couple of years I will be expanding and sharing my knowledge on optimization of organizations, adding value to businesses and investing / participating via Qapital.
