When I was 6 years old, my uncle asked me, "Did you know that computers have their own language?" We were waiting on a mall bench waiting for my cousin and twin sister to finish shopping and I remember the excitement in my uncle’s eyes as he explained the concept of binary codes, obviously simplified for a six-year-old child to understand. By the time my cousin and sister came to us, my uncle and I were so engrossed in conversation that they left us on the bench! Little did I know, that conversation sparked my interest in how things worked and became the reason why I chose to pursue engineering.I am a fourth year at Rutgers University School of Engineering in the Honors Academy, pursuing chemical engineering with a minor in business administration. While I ultimately made the decision to pursue chemical engineering, my inner child was persistent that I still involve myself with electronics, which is why I am also a part of the electronics club at Rutgers University. Currently, I am working at Bristol Myers Squibb under the guidance of Tracey Hixson, a part of clinical supply operations as a product development summer intern!Ultimately, I aspire to go into industry after college and am looking towards a position in pharmaceuticals, specifically in cell therapy or clinical supply operations.
