Dr. Rubina Feroze Bhatti is a human rights professional and leadership consultant with 20+ years of diverse experience in both non-profit and academic spheres. Currently she is working as member National Commission on the Rights of Child. Dr. Rubina specializes in leadership development, peace-building and promoting human rights. She earned her Master’s Degree in chemistry from Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) in Pakistan and her Master’s in development studies from Ireland where she was awarded with “Student of the Year” for her outstanding educational career. Later, she went to the United States to earn a PhD in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego, California. Dr. Rubina worked at various leadership roles with both public and private institutions including member Advisory Council for Minorities Affairs to Chief Minister Punjab; member Women PeaceMakers Program Advisory Council, Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice, USA; project Leader, Women’s Leadership Dialogue for Change, University of San Diego; Visiting Scholar at Eastern Mennonite University; Member PaRD Network, Germany, Board member Center for Social justice; Board Member Taangh Wasaib Organization; lecturer in Chemistry in Government Girl’s College Sargodha. Dr. Rubina’s journey of achievements has been long and challenging. Dr. Rubina has earned remarkable awards and recognitions, among which she was among 1,000 Women nominated for the Noble Peace Prize 2005, Woman of Courage Award 2011, along with former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, World Vision International Peacemaking Award 2010, N-Peace Award 2015, and selected as a Woman PeaceMaker 2010 at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice. In 2013, Dr. Rubina received MMMF scholarship award at the World Bank Headquarter in Washington DC and met with WBG president Dr. Jim Kim. Dr. Rubina was selected as one of 14 Harvey Fellows 2014. Dr. Rubina’s unprecedented services along with Ahmed Fraz, Makhdoom Javaid Hashmi and Abdussalam were also hailed by Human Rights Society Pakistan at its 21st Annual Award Ceremony in 2011. She was among the 100 women who matter most in Pakistan at The Newsweek, 2011, Pakistan and again one among the female achievers of the year 2015 on The News International list of 2015's Movers and Shakers in Pakistan. Dr. Rubina was honored a Member of the Month at International Exchange Alumni website in June 2015. Along with extensive travel experience in Pakistan, she made professional visits to more than 30 countries.
