Experimental ArtistStudio Rubins Aug 1995 - PresentThe Hague Area, NetherlandsFor the period 2011 to 2018, I researched the 15 causes of color. I have shown these causes in installations and works of art. During the last two years of this research I worked with Professor Chunlei Guo, scientist at the Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester (NY) to optimize a promising new color technique: creating the purest angle independent structural colors with a femtosecond laser. The technique is an invention of Chunlei Guo (2006-2008).In May 2018, we have presented the first two artworks ever created with angle-independent structural colors. The colors are non-iridescent and therefore remain the same from every viewing angle.
