I graduated in May 2024 with a degree in Biology from Connecticut College, and I recently started an internship with the Interstate Environmental Commissions (IEC) as a laboratory intern. I am passionate about ecology, biology, and environmental science. In my current role, I work with eight non-profit organizations to monitor water quality of various waterways spanning New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. This work focuses on measuring the abundance of different bacteria within samples. As part of my bachelor's program, I completed coursework in organic chemistry; molecular cell biology; microbiomes; conservation biology; plant cells & tissues; ecology & evolution; cells & molecules; human genetics; environmental humanities, and microbiology. In addition to my work with IEC, I conducted field research with the Sarah Lawrence College Center for the Urban River at Beczak and also volunteered as an instructor for a non-profit that teaches children about composting.I'm current seeking employment opportunities to begin in fall of 2024. Ideally I would like to develop more experience in DNA barcoding, field research, and lab work.Outside of work, I play classical guitar (which I have studied since I was 5 years old). I am also an artist and have dabbled in various forms of illustration, painting, mixed-media, and jewelry making.
