I qualified from Manchester University and went on to do my Foundation Training in the Pennine Acute Trust, following this I also got into the GPVTS in the North West Deanery and continued to train as a GP within Pennine. I qualified as a GP in February 2012 and worked for a surgery in Rochdale for 3 years part time and locumed around the North West of England also. I deal with complex chronic disease management as well as minor illnesses. I also work for BARDOC which is the Bury and Rochdale out of hours GP service.I am currently a GP in Accrington, UK and am registered with the GMC having a licence to practice here in the UK. I have memberships with the Royal College of GPs, Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare as well as diplomas in Gynaecology and child health. I am involved in family planning and have letters of competencies in both subdermal implants and intrauterine devices. I have recently successfully completed the GMC revalidation and am due now in 2020. I am also involved in GP training, doing my masters in GP education and have recently passed my interview to be a GP trainer to ST3s. I am a hardworking and dedicated doctor. I mean it when I say I try to practice holistically and think about all aspects of a person's healthcare, I do my best to ensure I have done everything I can for my patient within my limitations and resources. I love my job and the fact I get the opportunity to work with so many people enhances my communication skills and experience. Aspirations include to be involved more in family planning and train GPs.
