I worked as a sales associate selling records, books, dvds and CD's.I was later promoted as a key holder; that could open and close down the store after business hours. I worked as a trade buyer, much like a pawn store I appraised items for cash or store credit.Bands would occasionally perform in our store and it was our responsibility to help set up equipment and direct the guests to their seating location.

The staff had daily sales goals that we strived to meet everyday as well as personal ones; for example signing customers up for email newsletters. as an associate we also were responsible for attending weekly conference calls and delivering deposits and picking up change for our drawer.

As a sales associate at Skechers we provided some of the best costumer service. It was our responsibility to stock the floor and have the right shoes displayed in their correct spot; because a lot of kids shopped with their parents it was our job to measure their feet to get their correct size. Workers also strived to sign customers up for newsletters by getting their emails, there they could recieve coupons and news on the latest trends. Most importantly, we needed to learn everything about the shoes we were selling so we could be able to talk to customers and help them find the perfect shoe..
