As a Community Health student at the University of Kansas, I am passionate about health coaching, behavior change, and improving physical fitness. I want to further my experience by working with individuals and communities to achieve their health and wellness goals and incorporate healthy and informed habits into daily life. I have experience working as a personal trainer, weight room specialist, and personal training program manager. With the skills and knowledge learned in these positions, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of fitness programming, motivational interviewing, and program management. This experience, paired with my academic background, has prepared me with the application of community health principles, behavior change theory, and health education. I am excited to pursue a career where I can combine my passion for behavior change and health education to create meaningful change within communities.
