Working Through Intellect Resources At Ochsner

Responsible for teaching Epic end users and super user training for the Ambulatory Cadence and EpicCare Inpatient Physician/Surgeon applications. As a Credentialed Trainer, Ruby is responsible for conducting training and facilitating go-live activities at Ochsner Medical Center Hospitals and Clinics. Ruby is also responsible for quality control associated with each training sessions and for monitoring the effectiveness of that training through documentation materials and reviewing feedback obtained during those classroom sessions.

An engaging supply chain consultant using 25+ years of clinical OR knowledge to assist clients with the following initiatives on engagements; taking those difficult first steps necessary to allow clinicians to focus less on the basic supply chain process and more on their patients. To map out current state processes and guide the OR team through the necessary steps for process improvement, OR and central sterile supply chain redesign, value analysis, physician preference items and contracting analysis.As an OR RN, working with management and clinicians, building trust between the OR and supply chain staff so the new process will be successful moving forward.Ruby has provided onsite Opportunity Assessment with recommendations for clients to improve supply chain performance, especially related to returning the clinician to patient care and limiting their required duties with supply chain to those necessary to improve patient outcomes. As a prior Service Coordinator she understands and can closely relate to the needs of Service Coordinator’s throughout this transition period.

Ruby has used her varied OR nursing experience during the past 5+ years at OMS as a Senior Consultant working on engagements involving Operating Room and Central Sterile Supply Chain Redesign, Equipment Storage/Supply Room Redesign, Process Mapping and Improvements and the implementation of cost saving initiatives for clients.
