With extension in mind, I am designing chicken coops that can be easily constructed by farmers in third-world countries. Considering the language barrier, I am using scaled models, connection samples, and various other visual aids to teach farmers.

I helped construct portable, aluminum coops and for my capstone project, I designed and constructed a mobile lumber coop to accommodate 50 laying hens. The mobile lumber coop was designed to optimize practicality in terms of cost, weight, and ease of use.

I contributed to the construction of Our H2Ouse, an energy efficient home compliant to all building codes. I routinely used followed safety procedures, used power tools, and ultimately fabricated ADA-compliant railings through MIG welding.

I assisted facility managers in program and event execution along with facility management at Minnie & Lovie Ward Recreational Center, which provides the Ocean View community with communal facilities such as a classroom, auditorium, playground, athletic field, and a gymnasium.Office duties included providing program details to interested parties, and keeping the public informed with written notices, flyers, and banners designed through Microsoft Publisher. As the sole Chinese speaker at the Rec Center operating in an Asian-prominent community, I also often acted as an interpreter.
