About Ruby Cook

I am a third-year Plant Sciences student at the University of Sheffield, with a deep passion of all things green! I have grown up in the Forest of Dean, where my interests first took root and I am particularly interested in the molecular biology of plants and palaeobotany, with hopes of a future career in forensic botany or environmental consultancy.During my studies thus far, I have honed technical skills in plant function and physiology, molecular cell biology, principles of ecology and climate change. Additionally, I have developed laboratory abilities and field skills.Outside of academia, I actively participate in the UOS Tennis Club, I enjoy gardening and I love being outside especially in the Peak district.
