I am enthusiastic and hardworking and I love picking up new skills as well as developing existing ones. I am quick to learn and I will always ask questions if I don't understand because I want to succeed in my role and if you don't ask questions you won't get far. I always take pride in all my jobs and have an eye for detail. I am currently working as a Licensing Coordinator using skills I gained in my degree as well as previous jobs and experiences. I work closely with the licensors to build professional relationships in order to better understand the brand as well as to review style guides and progress product approvals. I love working with all our partners and learning new things every day.Internally I liaise with the sales team, designers and merchandisers to understand which products need approval and key approval timelines for the critical path. I relay the brand guidelines from the licensor to ensure our products are adhering to them before submitting for approval as well as ensuring any feedback on approvals is given to the team in a timely manner. I love working with the design team to help develop new products and learning about different prints, materials techniques and processes. This year I also had the opportunity to go to MCM comic con for market research. I love all things anime and pop culture and to be able to experience it first hand, talk to other fans and see and the licenced products on the market was amazing. I hope to be able to go more frequently and continue to share my findings with the team. In previous roles I have worked closely with brand managers where I have been in closer contact with factories and production. I also had the opportunity to design product briefs for designers that were then put into work for retailer selection. One of my designs was a finalist in the Excellence in Housewares 2023.Currently my role includes but is not limited to: - Communicating directly with licensors to create our products according to their brand, style and packaging guides, discussing new designs and samples with them and submitting for approval when ready. - Learning how to read and check new contracts as well assisting with contract renewals, amendments and extensions.- Checking concepts, samples and contractual samples that come in to the office to ensure they meet guidelines.- Updating my product approval trackers. - Briefing designs amends to designers.- Creating presentations to send to licensors or for sales to use.- Attending Trade shows and Conventions.- Forecasting.
