Within my current role at Te Kura, I help to manage the Auckland office alongside one other Admin. My day-to-day tasks include the Teacher Allocation Spreadsheet, any Flexi-Purchase coding needing attention, Travel Bookings and Management for the Northern Region via CTM and maintaining the office. Within my role I have additional responsibilities such as assisting the RM with the MOE reviews ofAkonga, I am also the Northern Region KidsCan coordinator, so I maintain databases pertaining to stock and I keep in regular touch with coordinators from other Regions. The Admin team organizes and runs events hosted within our region as well.

In my position I nannied two children aged 3 and 7. My duties focus on picking the children up from school, preparing meals, helping the 7-year-old with her homework, and taking the children to various outings/activities. I also managed the upkeep of the house in terms of laundry, tidying the play areas, and maintaining the general sanitation of common areas. I created learning stories through Storypark and regularly hosted my visiting teacher. I was the soul charge of the policy upkeep and safety standards within the home.

While temporarily in Wellington I aided as a reliever throughout the Millie’s Place center in Wellington. I was mostly covering teacher absences in the over’s classroom. In this role I aided with mealtimes and was a floater between the inside and outside areas across the center.

As a primary care teacher, I worked within the ‘under twos’, specifically with children aged 15 months to 2 and a half. My duties included supporting the children with their toilet routines, bedtimes, feeding and bottles if required. I did learning stories and plans on the website Storypark to connect with parents about their child’s learning.

In my role I took part in the education of school-aged children with swimming. I cover school-based classes as well as the after-school roles. I also have some experience working with adapted learning students in a one-on-one teaching environment. Within my role I swim tested, taught and assessed students and their abilities within my classes.
