I was responsible for the clinical oversight and support of five to eight Department of Juvenile Justice residentials commitment programs at any given time. The number of programs would change depending on the corporate restructuring of regions and contract changes. Program were both secure and non-secure levels, and were 24-80 beds depending, on the security level of the program. I ensured that the programs conducted all mental health services in accordance with state contracts and administrative rule. I completed quality assurance reviews of all mental health documentation to include mental health charts, clinical supervision/meeting logs, mental health plans, facility mental health drills and transfer request documentation. I assisted with document preparation and review for all external program audits to include CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), Quality Assurance, Mental Health/Substance Abuse Overlay Service Billing and Substance Abuse Licensure (65-D). I provided coverage, supervision, and clinical oversight to all clinical directors and therapists in those programs. Coverage provided consisted of anything from on call emergency assistance (involuntary hospitalizations, crisis assessments and suicidal ideation) to covering caseloads of 1-12 clients. While providing caseload coverage, I and completed all clinical assessments, biopsychosocial, treatment plans and reviews as well as weekly induvial therapy sessions, daily group therapy sessions and monthly family sessions. I also conducted new hire and annual clinical trainings for staff at facilities and throughout my assigned region.
