Translated legal documents from Spanish to English, assisting in the beginning of the process for applications for asylum for undocumented refugees. After translating documents, re-translating them to make sure they are correct, as well as editing documents to fit a specific format, from statements to paragraphs to create a story almost.Conducted an interview over the phone in Spanish, with an applicant for asylum, writing down her statements and responses in English and asking questions to understand and clarify certain things.
