Using skills learnt in my design degree along with experience as a receptionist I started my own business, working on copywriting and visual communication. With a focus on the real-estate industry I wrote property web and newspaper copy, along with agent and support staff website bios. In addition, I managed the business behind the scenes including invoicing, client communication and marketing.

I contributed to the "Partnering with communities to develop nature-based solutions for flood resilience” project, undertaken by the ANU Institute of Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions (ICEDS). I combined my knowledge of scientific concepts and science communication with my understanding of branding, social media marketing, web design and lesson planning for New Path Education. I took complex scientific concepts and made them accessible for children aged 6-12 through hands-on learning and engaging presentations.

In this role, I began as a Swim School Instructor where I excelled in managing and teaching diverse groups of children, including those with special needs, while providing an inclusive and nurturing environment. I earnt the opportunity to train as a Receptionist, where I handled phone and email inquiries, invoicing processes, water testing, and training and supervising employees.
