I have always felt passionately about finding careers that can support others and lead to connection. I am currently a student at UW Madison pursuing a degree in Psychology & Human Development and Family Studies. In addition to these degrees, I am currently working towards Disability Services and 2D Art Studio certificates. I enjoy working with kids, especially children with disabilities. I thrive in workplaces that require a creativity, communication, and a balance of professionalism and personalism. I always strive to go above and beyond expectations, especially when instruction is open-ended. In my past job with Fiscal Assistance, I have taken initiative to:- Reprogram and expand the vocabulary of my client through her AAC device- Plan day-trips and enrichment activities for my client though it was not an expectation from my employer- I communicated with the client's other support team members (such as family and teachers) to find most effective care plan and make a personalized approach for the clientOutside of my professional career in care related jobs, I am academically oriented and take my studies very seriously. When I have free time, I enjoy connecting with my creative side through painting and playing my banjo. I am currently interested in finding both jobs and research opportunities related to child development psychology or disability services.
