As president of MED RADical, the social club for students studying a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science across the streams of Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy, and Nuclear Medicine, I oversee social and networking events and ensure that club goals are met. I organise meetings, help manage club finances, and promote a strong focus on community.

Academic Student Representative for students studying a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Nuclear Medicine) at the University of South Australia. This role provides me with the opportunity to liaise with the student body and academic staff in order to appraise the degree and develop future initiatives to better student outcomes.

Delivering tailored patient care in a busy multi-camera nuclear medicine department, attached to a hospital. I confidently worked on a Siemens ProSPECTA and Siemens Evo to provide care to both in-patients and out-patients, with experience in radiopharmacy and dose preparation.

I assisted in data collection and analysis for the use of AI in satellite image interpretation. I served as a spokesperson as conferences and round table events to discuss the future of the SA space industry, while highlighting the importance of female engagement in STEM industries.

A 6 week placement at the Royal Adelaide Hospital facilitated skill development across Nuclear Medicine, haematology, Bone Mineral Density Scanning, and PET/CT. Providing care to both in- and out-patients, I successfully delivered quality, patient-centred care in a public hospital setting.

Underwent a 2 week CT placement, rotating across The Queen Elizabeth Specialist Centre and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Assisted in performing both interventional and diagnostic examinations to in- and out-patients. Operated QE and Canon CT equipment.

Performed nuclear medicine examinations on Siemens and GE SPECT/CT cameras in a busy public hospital department. Gained experience in hot lab activities, including the reconstitution of cold kits and daily quality control.

Auckland, New Zealand

Received a scholarship with Mercy Radiology, New Zealand’s largest PET/CT provider, allowing the development of skills in a private out-patient setting for general nuclear medicine procedures, and out-patient and in-patient setting for PET/CT. Exposure and experience in theranostics, intradermal injections, Gallium-68 generators, 68Ga-PSMA & 68Ga-DOTATATE.

Nine weeks clinical experience at Benson Radiology allowed me to develop my skills in an outpatient setting. Delivering quality care in a private health setting, across a range of nuclear medicine and PET/CT examinations.

A 6 week clinical placement at Queensland X-Ray enabled me to gain the confidence and skills required to deliver quality health care services to inpatients and outpatients.

Consumer representative at the Youth Advisory Council, which allowed me to analyse and appraise paediatric health care deliverance from a consumer’s standpoint. Through event planning, auditing, and discussing necessary hospital changes, the group was able to improve paediatric health care in South Australia.
