I graduated from Colorado State University in May 2016 with a BS in general psychology. Currently I am working in Frisco, Colorado as a Health Navigator in the Community Care Clinic. I am a certified level I addiction counselor in the state if Colorado and I am currently continuing on to a CAC II. My next goal is to attend grad school to obtain my an Masters in Public Health administration or PhD in Applied Social psychology. I want to find a way to find a way to combine my passions for research, healthy living, and psychology to help underserved populations live a higher quality life. I hope to do this by learning more about public health in my current position and promoting life style changes to prevent/ treat both physical and mental illness; and by eventually obtaining a MPH or PhD in health psychology. I would want to use my research skills to better understand rural communities in the Mountain West region in order to develop public health initiatives and treatment programs for conditions that impact this population. Additionally, I would want to study the structure of community health centers and developing programs that improve health outcomes for patients and sustainability for the clinics
