I am a hard-working professional who has a strong interest in working in radio, video games, and entertainment. I have a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Radio, Digital Audio and Broadcast Production from Macquarie University, which has involved me in many radio-related projects as well as two student broadcasts on 2SER. I volunteered for the station for over four years, beginning as a producer for the Wednesday Daily, to executive producer of said show, and then gaining hosting experience over two years doing graveyard shifts, the Weekly on Sunday nights, and through my hosting of the Tuesday Drive show, the Tuesday Daily, and It’s A Gay Area on Friday nights. Hosting and operating these shows over the years has allowed me to gain great experience in the field of hosting on live radio, as well as prerecorded and live panel operation for radio.I am also currently casually employed employed as an Operations Officer in the Radio department of SBS, which has given me a deeper knowledge of operations in live radio broadcasting through the operation of a wide range of language programs for the broadcaster. This role also involves audio production, pre-production of broadcasts, and supervision of broadcasts.In terms of my experience in video games media, I worked as a multimedia reported at Kotaku Australia for almost 2 years, which required me to report on the video game industry across a number of platforms including written media, podcasts, and short-form content. This position required me to report on all the current events of the industry, as well as thinking up my own angles regarding the industry at large in a sometimes comedic way. In my time at Kotaku Australia, I was nominated for Best New Journalist at the 2022 Lizzies IT Journalism Awards.I am now also currently casually employed at Lowkii Productions as the Producer and a co-host of the Back Pocket Tonight show on Twitch, which is a video game variety show that sits between the world of games media and content creation. This role involves finding talent for the show, organising opportunities with game developers, publishers, and companies to be involved in the show's content, delegating tasks across our team to build out the show's content, researching the current gaming news landscape for the show's content, as well as co-hosting the show itself on Thursday nights for a duration of 3 hours. This role has given me even more experience in the world of presenting to a wide audience, as well as a deeper understanding of producing for live video broadcasts.
