As a pediatric advice nurse, answering phone calls by triaging and providing families appropriate and courteous telephone advice caring for children of all ages. Actively listening to the descriptions of children’s symptoms, asking questions, gathering information, documenting accordingly, following protocol and using clinical nursing judgment to advise appropriate care. Assisting in front and back office operations by checking in parents and children for appointments, assisting in scheduling appointments, processing daily documents, obtaining vitals, rooming parents and children and assisting physicians with medication administration.
