Open minded and eager to further my knowledge. From my professional experience, I have learned to become flexible and adapt easily to changes in my environment. Professional nursing philosophy: nurses have the responsibility to provide the safe, high quality, and patient-centered care. Nurses are also accountable to provide nonjudgmental care to those in need regardless of race, spiritual beliefs, lifestyles choices, financial status, or disability. My nursing philosophy is about delivering proficient, compassionate, empathic and optimal care to the patients and their families, to the best of my ability. Part of my professional nursing philosophy is based on Florence Nightingale’s environment theory and Jean Watson’s theory of human caring/ caring science theory. Nightingales theory motivates to provide the clean environment to the patients in order to reach their health goals and cure illness and Watson’s theory well-informed that nursing is not just checking vital signs, filling out forms or administering medications but to help people heal and provide comfort. I also endeavor to be an advocate to deliver privacy and confidentiality and protect patient’s rights and promote good health practices within the community.
