Assisted residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLS) Retrieved prescriptions on behalf of residents Assisted residents with dietary needs Assisted with household needs, such as cleaning and laundry Trained new employeesTo name a few, but my responsibilities are many.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer call lights in a timely manner. (less than 5 minute wait time.) Daily internal contact with ALD, MCD, RN and Executive Director Read daily communication log, new and updated service plans and alert charting log Responsible for attending to all care needs of the residents in their assigned sections, either scheduled or as they arise following resident service plan. Check residents every meal hour. Set-up tables in preparation for meals. Assist with serving meals by bringing residents into the dining room and taking orders.Verbally cue residents requiring assistance. Assist with clean up, following meals. Pick up laundry from apartments. Collect garbage from assigned residents apartments daily.Immediately removes incontinent supplies that are wet or soiled. Take trash to dumpster at least once a shift. Assist with resident activities as requested or assigned. Chart any unusual incident or information needing to be passed on to the ALD, RN, med aide or the communication log. Report emergencies to the person in charge. Minor and non-emergency changes should be reported to the Med Aide. Family concerns are reported immediately to the ALD, RN and the Executive Director. Knowledge of proper transfer techniques and body mechanics to transfer residents with appropriate assistance (gait belt, transfer board, hoyer lift or camel). Housekeeping duties for common areas. Responsible for light clean up of resident apartments as necessary on a daily basis. External contact includes appropriate contact with residents' family and prospective resident. Take vital signs.
