In 2003 Ruby Thomasson achieved her Master's of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Administration, Policy Analysis, and Nonprofit Management from the New School's Milano Graduate School of Management with a minor in Environmental Policy. She received a Dean's scholarship and was a teacher’s assistant running classes and performing grading. She travelled abroad on two international field studies in Latin America. In 2006 to 2007, she received a NYC mayoral grant to enter into the Master's program and have an opportunity to matriculate into a PhD/JD program at Pratt Institute's Center for Planning in the Environment. In 2012, she completed and achieved a certificate in non-profit fundraising and grants management with NYU's Heyman Center for Fundraising and Grants Management. She received a partial scholarship to attend this seminar. From there she was offered a position as a Financial and Policy Analyst in NYU's Fiscal Affairs Information Technology Services (ITS) unit. She acts as the special projects manager to the Director of Fiscal Affairs for all of NYU’s New York and US campuses, as well as, over fifteen NYU global campuses including: Abu Dhabi, Florence, Paris, Sydney, etc.Specialties include: Policy and fiscal analysis and portfolio management, budgeting and staffing allocations.
