• Completed a 10 week internship working with the Marketing and Trauma prevention specialist:• Worked on a community outreach program to introduce the community to the hospital, via marketing, and contacting and meeting with vendors and helping place orders for giveaways, helped with the budget, translated flyers, • Helped increase attendance to community event to 900 attendees

• Provided Patient Communications, communicated to patients via text, email, phone calls, and through our live chat portal, whichever the patient preferred. • Helped patients with any customer service or technical issues, such as issues with our site, changes in prescriptions, get in touch with a pharmacist or doctor• Conducted Patient outreach, contacted patients when they needed a refill, needed update insurance etc. • Provided clerical duties in the pharmacy

• Worked in a student run clinic in serving primarily homeless/jobless deportees along the US/Mexico border• Carried out various tasks in the clinic as needed, with rotations, registered patients, took patient’s vitals, and shadowed appointments.• As a bilingual student interns, I also had to be available to translate during appointments. During the appointments I played a vital role in making sure doctors and patients understood each other .
