Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for planning, directing, overseeing and leading the operations of the Media Services Department. Media Services Supervisor
Supervising the Media Services group at the Fox Network Center in The Woodlands, TX. The team is responsible for taking in over 176,000 hours of live and pre-recorded content via satellite feeds and electronic file delivery, performing quality assurance and prep prior to air through Master Control, and archiving digital files and physical tape stock. • Receiving directives from senior management and scheduling tasks to assigned personnel.• Partnering with managment to define, enforce, communicate, and support operational policies and procedures.• Communicating and documenting expectations to direct reports.• Working with Manager to plan and implement projects to gain efficiencies.• Ensuring tasks performed by staff are completed efficiently and timely.• Taking a leadership role in monitoring/auditing attendance , on-time arrival and performance of direct reports.• Ensuring assigned employees have the tools necessary to perform their jobs.• Coaching, motivating, and training assigned employees.• Ensuring high level of accuracy and internal/external customer satisfaction.• Participating in interviewing and hiring of administrators.• Overseeing assimilation of new personnel and other staffing changes on the team.• Troubleshooting and reporting issues.
