My role of programmes officer sees me contribute to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of sustainable development programmes delivered through youth volunteers across WASH, livelihoods and natural resource management thematic areas.

I took the lead on recruiting case studies for the Social Care campaign and wrote up those case studies, organising photography, as well as the making of campaign videos. I was also responsible for managing budgets for case study-related costs. I created an inventory of existing case studies relating to social care as well as employment for persons with disabilities. I also chaired campaigns meetings and contributed ideas to the social care campaign, as well as the employment campaign.

My role involves assisting the global alliance and influencing managers and the head of monitoring and evaluation with tasks involving our global partners in Asia and Africa. I am currently working on producing learning documents for inclusive education projects in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Kenya and Bangladesh. The learning briefs will be used internally to influence future programme design and evaluations of existing programmes going forward.

Currently studying educational planning, economics and international development. My masters dissertation looks at bilingual education for ethnic minority groups in Vietnam. More specifically, I am exploring an action research project run by UNICEF. Part of my dissertation involves designing a theory of change for evaluation purposes and designing the evaluation methods in order to answer the research question: what is the long-term sustainability of the programme after UNICEF funding is withdrawn? I conducted field research in Vietnam in May 2015.

As an educator I held a mentoring and leadership role within the organisation. I mentored teachers and took the lead in team meetings for the courses I taught. I was heavily involved in the implementation and design of the Concurrent English Programme (CEP) and was the first person in Hanoi to teach the new course.
