I am a freelance interior designer working in New Zealand and abroad. From a young age I have been drawn to how colours and spaces can make us feel, often arranging, then rearranging my room and spaces in my home to find the most comforting arrangement. I have a range of experience in my career to date, from managing large scale bid proposals in London to working on high-end residential projects as an architectural graduate across the lower North and South Islands of New Zealand. With this comes a multitude of skills including an extensive knowledge of ArchiCAD, Twinmotion and Adobe softwares to problem solving, people management and good communication skills. My empathetic approach to resolving design issues with clients allows me to see both sides of the argument which has been valuable when liaising with clients and builders. In my previous position I was predominantly working on residential new builds and alterations from concept through to submission for consent. I was engaged to undertake a portion of the interior design for a handful of projects, with this came the realisation that this is the area of architecture I am passionate about and want to specialise in. I want to be part of a team which incorporates the interior design from the get go, not as an afterthought or the finishing touches on a project.
