Als toekomstontwikkelaar richt ik mij op complexe strategische vraagstukken binnen het domein water. Welke trends zijn zichtbaar en wat voor impact heeft dit op onze maatschappelijke taak als waterschap. Per onderwerp speel ik in op de behoefte van de organisatie. Onderwerpen waar ik mij o.a. mee bezig houd:- Visie vorming- Omgevingsscan zuiveringen: - Routekaart Circulaire economie : - Innovatieve waterketenaanpak: - Maatregelhouder: Minimaliseren van methaan en lachgas emissies door zuiveringen in 2025.

Als beleidsontwikkelaar bij de afdeling waterketen werk ik aan 'het nieuwe water van de toekomst'. Ik trek de wijde wereld in en zie en onderzoek trends en ontwikkelingen. Gevraagd en ongevraagd deel ik deze kennis met mijn omgeving. Door mijn kennis en netwerk weet ik wat er speelt en zorg ik ervoor dat we creatief anticiperen op veranderingen. Jongeren binden en boeien aan de organisatie. Met het platform Jong HHNK organiseer ik samen met mijn mede bestuursleden inhoudelijke en netwerk gerelateerde activiteiten voor de medewerkers van HHNK. Deze activiteiten zorgen voor meer verbinding tussen de jongere -en verschillende generaties op de werkvloer.

Voor twee dagen per week heb ik bij PWN gewerkt aan de toekomstige handelingsperspectieven voor het maken van drinkwater. Daarnaast heb ik ook de wet-en regelgeving die invloed hebben op het maken van drinkwater gevisualiseerd.

Voor 1,5 dag per week ga ik bij het van ministerie Infrastructuur en Waterstaat aan de slag met het programma ' ketenaanpak medicijnresten uit water'.

Als beleidsadviseur 'medicijnresten uit water' ben ik aan zet om de ambitie op het verwijderen van medicijnresten bestuurlijk vast te stellen.

Tijdens mijn traineeship bij HHNK heb ik uiteen lopende projecten gedraaid. De eerste periode heb ik onderzoek gedaan naar de thermofiele slibgisting. Daarnaast heb ik samen met waterschap de Dommel een literatuur onderzoek gedaan naar vetzuren uit slib. In de derde periode (periode twee vond plaats bij Hoogheemraadschap van Rijnland) was ik onderdeel van het programma team: Klimaat -en energieprogramma. Gedurende dit programma heb ik ingezet op de bewustwording van de klimaatsveranderingen en bijkomende doelstellingen. My traineeproject at HHNK included a pilotresearch of the optimalisation of sewagesludge digestion, using a thermophilic temperature range. Also a literature study of the production of volatile fatty acids of sewagesludge was conducted.

The Wester Ross Fishery Trust (WRFT) together with the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS), established a project to analyse the history of the local herring fishery. The present status of the inshore stocks along with their associated spawning habitats and the identification of maerl beds as spawning grounds are part of the overall research project. With as goal to evaluate the possibility of rejuvenating the local fishery, perhaps as a mixed education/commercial venture. Due to the limit of time, this research project only contributed to the early stages of the social and management side of the overall project. It examined the changes over the last 50 years in order to distinguish the main causes and impacts of the disappearance of the herring in the local community. During my bachelors student times I have been a part of a study commission were I participated as the voice of my study department. Once a month we have had meetings in this commission were we discussed topics on improving the courses and the contact between teachers and students. The main goal of these meetings was to negotiate on rules that every side (teachers and students) could agree upont.
