My position at Nordstrom Rack has been a great experience to help continue my passion for my retail studies and get an insight into what my future could entail. From engaging with customers to understand their needs and provide product recommendations, to restocking shelves, racks, and displays as needed, and working collaboratively with my other sales associates and store management, Nordstrom Rack has provided all the things to help gain my knowledge of the retail industry and overall learn excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be customer-focused, and have a good sense of fashion and retail trends.

As a team, we composed great service in a professional and friendly manner to better the experience of all the customers. The job culminated in being promoted to manager where I trained all new employees as well as being entrusted to close the till.

My friends and I started a non-profit organization in collaboration with Sarah’s Inn titled, “Stuff the Truck with Diapers.” During its eight years, the organization raised over 125,000 diapers and baby wipes to aid mothers who are victims of domestic abuse. As the organization progressed from its infancy, we were able to design and create a social media account to increase our publicity within the local community. I established the position of Junior Board Chairman with responsibilities that included hosting events for donors and creating networking events to broaden our benefactors.
